I am registered to a game server for my legal copy of game. Recently when i retrieve the installation of the game, my computer frozen while downloading. The speed goes up to 786kbs and i suspect that my harddisk is too slow too keep up with this. However, in the server there is no way to set the download limit.. so i am just wondering how can i decrease the download speed without setting the router?How can I set a download limit on my own computer without setting the router?
Why not use QoS on the router? You can set bandwidth limits to the IP of your machine without affecting other users.
