Hi, i have a 2006 X5 BMW and i want to setup the blue tooth. the suv has the bluetooth button on the steering wheel and a button which has a picture of a phone on it on the radio. I need the procedure
on how to set it up or get it into pairing mode , which i have been having a lot of trouble with. i have googled it quit a few times and need help THX alot. BTW i have a passkey number on the side of the BMW handbook. but i dont have a manual for the bluetoothHow to setup bmw bluetooth?
Hi,
You will need to turn bluetooth on for your phone and set the car's radio to pair/find phone mode. I am not sure about your vehicle, but you will need to create and enter the passkey quickly and confirm it or else the whole operation will abort. (I have a 2007 525xi)

The car's bluetooth system will go into pairing mode automatically everytime you start the car. Turn on the %26quot;discoverable%26quot; option on your phone's bluetooth option and if it connects put in your code to pair it. Otherwise you can pair it through the radio buttons or iDrive.
If it does not connect when you try any of these, your car does not have bluetooth. I have these buttons too but unfortunately they don't do anything.
