I'll try to answer all your questions as best as i can. To set up an Xbox Live Account, you'll need either a wireless antenna for your 360(sold at local retailers), a router with a good IEEE 802.11n,a,g, or b(preferably n), and a good internet connection; or an Ethernet cable, internet modem(with an Ethernet port in the back) and of course a good internet connection. Ok, first you'll need to go to the menu and select %26quot;Connect to Xbox Live%26quot;, and it might say something like %26quot;Can't connect to Xbox Live%26quot;, this is a usual problem for some people, so don't worry. Next, what you want to do is where it says %26quot;Test Connection%26quot;, select it, and it will bring you to a new menu. (or you could just go to Network Settings under System Settings). Once your at the new menu, select %26quot;Configure Network%26quot; and set up your IP Address's and your DNS address's. To find these, get on a your computer that is hooked up to your modem and click the start button, then click %26quot;Run%26quot;, type in cmd, then hit %26quot;Enter%26quot;.
A new menu will show. After what should say for example: %26quot;C:\Documents and Settings\User\%26quot;, something like this. after this line type %26quot;IPConfig\all and your DNS and IP settings should pop up(this might seem confusing so far but bare with me, ok?). Now once you find this info, enter it into your Xbox under the IP Settings Manually, or Automatically(system gets assigned an IP address, etc.). Once its all entered, test the connection, if it works, congratulations. If not, ill tell u some other options: if you use a router check to see if it has a security password and enter it into the console or also check the connection of the router, walls can disrupt the connection sometimes depending on the signal strength; make sure if your using an Ethernet cable have all the cords plugged in tight enough in the modem and console and the address's are entered right. How to set up XBOX LIVE?probably you can hook it up like that honestly my brother plays it like 24 7 he LOVES live but anyways basically click the center button of your controller select something with live.. i forgot and follow instructions and youll be kickin /\$$ playin against other palyers BEWARE: if your a good player you amy get ahte messages even if you mess up or shoots someone on your team depends what game your playing theyll threaten you but yea other then that its pretty cool
