We have an iPod that has been synced to a fifth computer and we have read on the internet that iPods can only be synced to five computers maximum.
These syncs do not occur at the same time; it's one laptop at a time and it's always the same account name, just different source for the library.
We are considering getting a different laptop, but we don't want to risk losing the iPod if this five-time sync limit is true.
Can someone set the facts straight?

The ipod is not transfering any of its music to the host PC, so there should be no issue.

From my personal experience, I've sync from many different computers. Actually more than 5 computers. But i do know that iTunes only limited each computer max of 5 different accounts.To how many different computers can you sync a single iPod?
I don't believe so, but there is a workaround. You can go with Manual Transfer if you are having trouble syncing on the additional computers. Personally, I would recommend calling an Apple %26quot;genius%26quot; at retail or using the support forum on Apple.com instead of here.To how many different computers can you sync a single iPod?
